ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

Tofino Food and Wine Festival is a weekend of food and wine events in the west coast. Its signature event, Grazing in the Gardens, is a showcase of local culinary talent and British Columbia wines, craft ciders and beers, in the beautiful Tofino Botanical Gardens.

In 2003, the festival began as a small, local event, and has since grown into a destination weekend for out of town guests. Grazing is a chance to mingle with Tofitians, meet local chefs, island purveyors, regional winemakers and more. Set in the rainforest, its surroundings provide a grassroots ambiance combined with pleasant surprises throughout the winding paths. It is truly a memorable weekend, and a wonderful way to experience the west coast.

Over the years, Grazing in the Gardens has supported several non profit organizations and initiatives, including Tofino Botanical Gardens Foundation, Community Children’s Centre and Tofino’s Community Garden, Wickaninnish School PAC Garden Revitalization, Lighthouse Trail and Multi Use Path (MUP). In 2017, this event is continues to be a fundraiser for the Tofino Botanical Gardens Foundation, with a Silent Auction benefitting the Wickaninnish Elementary School Garden Project – Stage 6.
